I've spent decades in some pretty serious self-education regarding Colonial and Neocolonial history and the attendant mayhem. You'll want to take breaks though, it's a pretty brutal read.This is one of the most difficult, yet enlightening books I’ve ever read.In a stellar (and readable) example of interdisciplinary historical research, Davis lays bare the skeleton underlying many of the popular conceptions regarding the nature of the "Third World" and its economies.
