I was a member from 2014-2016, when I switched my membership due to moving and not making it out to short pump as often. I would recommend ACAC to anyone that is looking for a high end gym.This place is my jam. The locker room area was spacious. Why would you not want to be a member here at ACAC??? We had been 10 year members of the Shady Grove YMCA which has become dirty, antiquated, and a very unappealing environment. ACAC still slays! I don't take classes here, I use the machines. I really enjoyed the view from the rooftop.The rooftop alone is enough to make you become a member in my opinion. The gym is clean,staff are friendly and the rooftop pool is awesome.
It's all Smoking mirrors with the rooftop pool but when summer is over all your left with is sucky classes and a snooty smart mouth blond at the front desk. The selling point is definitely the rooftop bar and pool, but the gym itself is also great. It's clean, tons of towels, lots of equipment, and staff leaves me be most of the time. I was bummed because this location doesn't have a basketball court. The Roof/Deck has a pool and hot tub with a bar. ACAC should be in every towns of America if you ask me.This place is the real deal here in the West End! This gym is definitely top notch.
I've been to ACAC in Midlothian before but this was my first time at the Short Pump location. ACAC Short Pump is one of the newest gyms in the Richmond area. ACAC offers the most up to date cardio and weight equipment with more than enough machines to offer its membership. Love the facilities, the classes and the squash courts. ACAC pool area wasn't overwhelmed with chlorine which I appreciated. I like how the facility was very clean throughout.The staff was friendly and very professional. acac Downtown, Albemarle Square, Pantops and Crozet clubs are open for business! But this gym changed all that.
