Scorecard for The Southland Golf & Country Club I Recommend This Course 3 tee boxes were in the middle of the fairway lol. For the price on a Sunday afternoon, it can't be beat. However, the course needs water BADLY! Rush you out to start, make you wait for another group when I paid for a twosome and not a foursome and we were not notified if someone else booked for the same time that we had to play with them; we’re waiting for the group ahead but a staff member says we’re going too slow and people are complaining so we had to skip some holes.
Especially the tee boxes.No amenities, course not well maintained, tee boxes were so hard that getting a tee in was a challenge.
We will be open on Monday July 20 and Wednesday July 22. Tee times begin at 7:30 am daily and may be made by calling the golf shop at 770-469-2717, six days in advance for non-members, and seven days in advance for members.World-famous Stone Mountain is visible on most holes in the distance, and is a good barometer for the “break” of your putts-if in doubt, most putts break away from the mountain.The course measures 6643 yards from the back/Blue tees; however, it plays much longer due to the severe elevation changes on many holes. Random groups show up on holes throughout the round and there’s no ranger to manage pace of play. Cart path is a bumpy ride. If your going to play in the heat bring all the water you need. I won’t be back.I played this course 4 months ago and it was in rough shape, but it was a cheap tee time and I was mainly out to practice. Seller of Travel Ref. The whole place reeks of pure laziness.
The course is open 7-days a week, 365 days per year.
