";s:4:"text";s:6075:" She was the middle child, reared in a conservative Catholic family in a small Massachusetts town. Over the years I had helped many patients like Catherine through the agonies of their fears, and I felt confident that I could help her, too. If necessary, and if she could manage to swallow pills, I would offer her some mild anti-anxiety medications to make her more comfortable. Weiss taps into Catherine's past lives through hypnosis. There were no references or citations at all. This gives a totally different perspective towards what we perceive and think about life and death. When I read the book I too started believing in it and do want to continue to believe in reincarnation, but there is something at the back of my mind that asks me for more evidence before blindly believing in this.Dr. When his traditional methods of therapy failed, Dr Weiss turned to hypnosis and was astonished and sceptical when Catherine began recalling past-life traumas which seemed to hold the key to her problems.
My biggest problem with it was that I didn't find it believable at all! Like when Catherine goes back to 1578 BC something, how can she know the year as BC? She was secure in her beliefs. After high school, Catherine completed a two-year technical program, emerging as a laboratory technician. Ed was a kindly pediatrician whom Catherine had met while working in the hospital.

Miracles Happen: The Transformational Healing Power of Past Life Memories Weiss does a great job of diving straight to the point, sharing his revelations, and telling stories through an all around approach with no bias. Through Time Into Healing: How Past Life Regression Therapy Can Heal Mind, body And Soul I haven't read them, but they're next on my list! When I read the book I too started believing in it and do want to continue to believe in reincarnation, but there is something at the back of my mind that asks me for more evidence before blindly believing in this.As someone who has psychic abilities herself, and has always had one foot in this world and one foot in the other, I have to sadly say that I was very disappointed by this book. As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks.
One of the most thought provoking books I have read. The turning point occurs during an "in-between lives state." His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from "the space between lives," which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss's family and his dead son. I couldn't recommend this book more. I would always argue that since this book has been around for a good long time and since we are yet to discover all that much compelling evidence about reincarnation, there's probably a snag somewhere.
Amazing Book one of my favorite book in the list :) if you believe in reincarnation go for it . There is even more to the book, but I won't give it away. It is largely in the manner that they are presented makes for an interesting read. Please try againSorry, we failed to record your vote. Shop books, stationery, devices and other learning essentials. One feels refreshed to know that we do not need to run so much after money, success and ambition. This fascinating case dramatically altered the lives of Catherine and Dr Weiss, and provides important information on the mysteries of the mind, the continuation of life after death and the influence of our past-life experiences on our present behaviour. There are so many inconsistencies in the book. I'm also not easily won over....This is an amazing book. Something about him drew out her passions and awakened her, as if she were charmed by him. A gripping love story that transcends time... this book makes you truly believe that we all really do have soulmates, and that "only love is real"., The reason for this being that the theories to get over your mental blocks are more or less the same. He claims that there are other writings, etc, that support what he is saying, but if you're going to write a book about a topic like this, YOU HAVE TO CITE YOUR SOURCES. It gives one hope and it is 'infectious' in helping us to solve our own problems. For us Indians, however that itself is not groundbreaking in any way and I felt somewhere that the author is making things up somewhere for the following reasons. As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks.
But in order to really get the best experience from it, you have to empty your cup of beliefs and go into it like a child. I decided we would begin by delving into her childhood, looking for the original sources of her problems. I needed it exactly when I read it.
She moved to Miami in the spring of 1974, at the age of twenty-one.Catherine’s life in a small town had been easier than her life in Miami turned out to be, yet she was glad she had fled her family problems.During her first year in Miami, Catherine met Stuart.
