As I said in a previous review, Batman&Robin Eternal has gone from assassins and subterfuge to the all-out threat of world domination, and I wasn’t particularly fond … I simply saw it as a name, and wasn’t considering the symbolic implications. Having Harper juxtapose the differences between Mother and a real mother was a standout moment for me.In a panic, Mother calls her remaining Orphans to her while Dick simultaneous instructs the Bat-Family to “door” to his location. Batman and Robin Eternal's final issue doesn't quite live up to the promise the series had when it first debuted last year, mainly due to the underwhelming final bow for Mother. She has been shown as entirely cerebral, resorting to the physical only when absolutely necessary and only in the most common of ways.

Les personnages sont plus ou moins bien caractérisés.Néanmoins, ça reste parfois simpliste, comme Cassandra le montre en touchant les premiers Robins. HBO Max a bien l'intention d'étendre l'univers cinématographique de DC en série TV, puisque The Batman aura également droit à son spin-off. But as an end-cap to Harper Row and Cassandra Cain's intertwined story, this issue is very satisfying indeed. At times, the story beats were actually so cliche that you’d swear the creative team was following a checklist of everything they needed to include.
