The user manual (such as it is) says there's also anOnScreenDisplay menu but I don't see how to get to it (I certainly don't see the icon the manual says to touch). Make sure that Menu is pressed first otherwise screen will simply turn off.My hp L1706 was osd locked, then i press -(auto) button and hold then press adjust butto togethe and Switch off my monitor. I attempted all the repairs recommended here, and some permutations of them, no success. I did as suggested and pressed the menu button and it went away but a different engine menu comes up. This page requires Javascript. I have managed to get the menu up once again over about three or four minutes of button-pushing.

The monitor “works”, it displays an image perfectly, but the controls are dead, mostly. If one of the buttons get stuck, this OSD Lockout message may appear. OSD lockout prevents the OSD menu from opening on the screen when a button is accidentally pressed.The button may be different and the procedure might vary on some monitors. It also shows “Attention OSD Locked” if the menu button is pressed. Two Iiyama Prolite B1706S monitors – second monitor (recently installed) had OSD lockout. We apologize for this inconvenience and are addressing the issue. Somehow today I managed to lock the front panel controls (a little padlock appears when I press the one just above the power button). The fix for this was Press Menu and power button together for a second and instant unlock.
