Sean bean may have gotten kidnapped halfway through the story and brought to silent hill but even then he doesn't have much to do and we barely see him for most of the film instead all we see is the lead girl running around looking for him and having weird visions and i just got tired of it after a while but i guess the actors did the best they could and the ending is okay so i gave this film 4/10 for the effort because it least they tried but all in all i thought this film was nothing special and quite forgettable. in fact it appears she did everything and again we get another lame story that i don't care about and we have a bunch of strange things happening that i don't care about, about the only interesting thing about this movie is the end when the two villains fight each other i thought we had an okay fight between pyramid head and the Evil creature women but even that could have been done better,i thought the fight was poorly edited but it kept me watching at least as lame as it was. The tone and effects were disturbing, and while some of the 3D effects weren't great (mannequin spider) I can look past them and enjoy the disturbing scenery.
The apparent green screen, weird spider doll thing, dismembered limbs and relentless onslaught of 3D gimmicks melted my brain. And we as an audience already knew how her father is doing, only Heather didn't know, again there's nothing to look forward too.
Yes, there's a special weapon which appears in almost every game, the chainsaw. Silent Hill, as a setting, has the potential to show the audience a truly disturbing world; a world where we do not want to go however I'd actually rather go to Silent Hill myself than sit through this muck. I just got around to seeing this movie last night and it certainly wasn't the worst film I've ever seen, but reading some of the reviews around here (and on the critic sites) one would think this film is just a steaming pile of poop. The character Vincent was introduced well, but he said a lot of really bold things to Heather Mason for someone that just met her such as "I don't want anything bad to happen to you." But I could not relate to the new Sharon. The film was overly short, and it seemed as though this was the central problem. Silent Hill: Revelation. Having played the Silent Hill games on PC, this is sort of a mish mash of the games.

Awful CG, terrible creature design, and a plot full of non- sensical threads that don't pay off. and never anything big or important! by the way , overall of the movie is bored but there's something I notice is that the actor of Alessa , Adelaide Clemens , she's a good actor and she really knows how to act , but having her in this movie is just a waste of a talent , just hope that she'll be in some other better movie in the future. 13 out of 22 found this helpful
