Crime lords control huge swaths of the kingdom. Who knew there were mutants in Atlantis! This volume picks up a while after the events of It's not entirely accurate to compare the political intrigue and intricate plotting to Game of Thrones, but its the most valid widely-understood metaphor, so we'll go with it.
The real star here is the art. I also dig how Aquaman uses schools of fish to hide his movements in a fight. Great foreshadowing of who could possibly be the new ruler excites me.
Vol. The last volume of the series had me on the edge of my seat and I was utterly shocked that Arthur had lost his crown. Well least we're getting back on track.
