The first, Gotham Resistance, is quite fun; loads of Batman's villains have been powered up (and ninetiesd up - even the ruddy Riddler looks like Lobo) and turned Gotham into (even more of a) vision of Hell. The only complain , I wish it came as a hard cover like the ones before.
All three collections happen simultaneously, so reading them in order requires bouncing back and forth between all three collections, but is worth it in my opinion. And these issues actually mattered to the overall Dark Nights Metal story.

Bats Out of Hell focuses on the Justice League's battle with the evil Batmen. Gotham Resistance has members of the Bat family and Green Arrow teaming up to run the gambit through the Dante's Inferno version of Gotham.
Like others have stated, I’m not sure who’s idea it was to send a book in a paper package. The art was very good. Start by marking “Dark Nights: Metal - The Resistance” as Want to Read: Dark Nights: Metal: Dark Knights Rising A mountain has appeared in the middle of Gotham somehow transforming the city into a dark fairyland or something for some reason. Somehow even worse than the main book. Into which a ragtag gang of heroes and villains venture, because of some plot.
Does feature the Dark Knights who I felt were a little underused in the main story. Members of the Justice League, Teen Titans and Suicide Squad come together to form a resistance to stop the Dark Knights after they descend to Earth in Dark Nights: Metal! Scott Snyder, Grant Morrison, Peter J. Tomasi, Joshua Williamson and James Tynion IV This book was amazing. The stories were fun and give some insight into the Metal story. In The Resistance, heroes (and the Suicide Squad) resist villains… but don’t they always do that?!
