Love Borough Market and the lunch was rather good, but not cheap at 75 quid each (two courses, one bottle of red, sparkling water). One of my clams was a bit gritty, but the pancetta and the other clams rounded out the main course nicely.Our dessert was a buttermilk pudding with poached Yorkshire rhubarb and stem ginger. I built the business attending markets in the UK, and in the summers agricultural shows and fairs all over Europe.

The fish was fresh and the skin was just salty enough to enhance the flavor without overdoing it. Headless, it did indeed look very like a huge dog. Try it. I started farming Wild Boar in 1993 when my brother bought me four pigs in a pub one night for my birthday! Where to shop for Croatian and British charcuterie at Borough Market: —Taste Croatia offers a focused selection of pig, boar and venison, prosciutto-style sliced meats, and small, whole sausages too. It sounds like we have a lot in common!Love the markets- going down to wander on a Thursday or Friday, without knowing exactly what we’ll have for dinner, but just picking out whatever looks best is one of my favourite things to do- and also one of the main reasons we moved to London- and to live in Borough!I agree, Tori!
The flavorful beets and cheese balanced one another nicely, and the greens were impeccably fresh.Next up was a pan-fried fillet of hake with surf clams in Kingston Black cider and wild boar pancetta. I used to go to Borough Market every week to get my bread from Bachhaus and would always end up leaving with my shopping bag bulging (usually full of irresistable cakes!)

I was proud to sell my regional northern food products, made with passion and care, anywhere!1998 saw me attend Henrietta Green’s Food Lovers Fair at Borough Market in London with the Two Fat Ladies, which then became the start of the retail farmers and producers in Borough. Don’t be put off by the fact that this Italian restaurant is in a hotel. It’s an English thing.—Marcus Verberne introduced himself and handed us each a list of ingredients we needed to find from the market. Borough Market has been supplying Londoners with nutritious nibbles for over 250 years. First there was a salad of mixed beets with Ragstone goat cheese and wild herbs. I haven’t been to Tibits, but thanks for the tip. The hunt sent participants all over the market to find ingredients for a lunch that would take place at the restaurant once all of the produce was found.I met my group at Roast last week. Our first stop was at a fishmonger called Furness Fish & Game, where we used the money in the envelope we had been given to buy a handful of clams and a fillet of pollock (it was supposed to be hake, but they were out).We then proceeded to the vegetable stand across the way and bought two bright pink stalks of rhubarb and three big beets.

Borough Market, I wish I was one of those women who shopped glamorously. No events in this location I will have to go there for some pork belly!This makes me miss London! Yet another cheap eats gem in Borough Market, La Tua Pasta have been making their 40 different types of pasta each evening, to sell in packs the following day, since 2006.

As London’s oldest and best-known food market, Borough has earned a deserved reputation as being the place to go for all things foodie. I had the pork belly. I went to Roast for lunch on Tuesday! I’m back in DC after my 12 day (working – honest!) Initially, this was just once a month, but then Sillfield Farm had a permanent site there.
