A new restaurant on the Upper East Side is the very definition of a gastropub, where bar food with a bit of flair is even more important than drink. The pork sliders were super dry. It was a lovely way to celebrate an anniversary.Delicious butternut squash soup, fish and chips and chocolate mousse!Good casual neighborhood eatery. Even though the patrons only had one glass of wine and explained the husband's condition to the staff, they refused them liquor service and then management had the audacity to respond to the patrons' legitimate Yelp critique of their staff refusing service to the disabled, stating that they stand by their staffs' decisions to refuse service to disabled customers.
One of my most favorite spots in the city to brunch or take in a good game.Fantastic food and service. What makes it unique is that this is also an excellent utility restaurant for just about every need an Upper East Side resident might have. The only set back was the heat and humidity, which of course was not created by the restaurant. A great place for a drink, and event, or even a royal wedding viewing party, our traditional menu and inviting décor have been carefully thought out to portray a traditional British Pub. It was a bit pricey for the type of food offered bur it was delicious and top grade ingredients were in the evidence.

On our last visit this was not so. It has a large dinning area and even an open area for outdoor eating. Staff were masked at all times.Jones Wood Foundry was a perfect place to celebrate our first time out in three months (because of the pandemic)!!! LOVE the patio in the back! The meal was perfect. From the overdressed mushroom salad to the overcooked and extremely dry baked eggs I would not go back or order these two again. Courtyard is very pleasant to sit in.For an entree, I had a delicious grilled lamb on flat bread that I can highly recommend. The cod was dry and very salty. Service was prompt and attentive.
