The Flashpoint Caitlin is actually an eye doctor for children but she is able to pinpoint Rival using the city's cameras. Alongside Barry investigates a meteor crash outside Central City that turns out to be a spaceship from which aliens emerge. The Reverse-Flash taunts The Flash and warns of repercussions if Barry continues to forget his old life. He uses super-speed to steal her purse under the guise of returning it to her in order to strike up a conversation. Joe is seemingly unaware of what happened but asks Barry why he cares - Barry and Joe are not friends in this timeline. They needed to show Barry getting attached to Flashpoint and then make it a big decision when he decided to give it up. The timeline was reset when the Reverse-Flash ran back in time and killed Nora Allen again, restoring everything pretty much to how it was before, albeit with some minor differences. An alternate timeline, coined Flashpoint by Eobard Thawne, was created by Barry Allen when he traveled back in time and saved his mother from him. Caitlin delivers bad news upon their return to Ramon Industries - Wally isn't healing as he should. Barry moves to engage her but news of the Flash fighting Rival distracts them both. Joe West shoots him in the back and Barry reveals his identity before telling him about Wally. The season features 8 permanent members as well as 4 qualified teams competing over a $1,000,000 USD prize pool. Barry discovered that STAR Labs now has a previously nonexistent room designed to monitor and test Speed Force powers. And while his sadness is completely understandable, it’s the wrong direction for that character. Unless he frees Thawne to kill Nora, he will forget everything and be unable to return time to how it was before. Another major Cisco-related change is that Cisco has developed a prototype Vibe suit that allows him to join the Flash in battling metahuman villains. Barry happily ignores him amidst claims that he will one day beg Thawne to kill his mother. Barry then reveals that he actually has a date with Iris. Wally takes Barry back to his apartment and reveals that Iris also knows and both ask how Barry knows who Wally is. Barry attempts to cover for him and asks for an early evening to 'have dinner with an old friend'. By snatching people at super speed, he brings Wally, Iris and Cisco to Ramon Industries. When disaster strikes, Barry must decide whether to live as Barry Allen or return to his universe as The Flash. When back at the CCPD, Barry discovers that Joe has not returned to work again and Captain Mendez is threatening disciplinary action.
Flashpoints are multi-part missions introduced with the Battletech: Flashpoint DLC. Rival throws lightning in an identical manner to that of Barry before escaping as the new Flash saves the police and Barry.
