I really can't say enough good things about this book. In which comic book did the Flash die and why? I really don't know where my copy is now but I am quite sure it should be in storage somewhere.Stern did a really good job here of incorporating all of the little details and sidebars from a baffling array of incidents and events from interconnected magazines that made up the death and re-birth of Superman.
Fans of classic Superman should not miss out on this.Surprisingly good for a novel based off of a comic book story.

But Superman…nearly indestructible…tends to be boring for me. Superman: Red Son (New Edition) this book was great because it was able to go into more detail than the comic books giving us more of the story. I very much enjoyed many things! I can see how it works as a comic, since so much of it is visual, but in novel form it felt off--comicy dialogue, too many expository flashbacks, a lot of "Suddenly" prose moments, etc. i loved this book, i loved it so much i re-read it again and again and again.
