I would never pay full retail for this set. To me the set is unfinished as Lego left many areas lacking detail.

Product is awesome. Its a must have for collectables and geeks everywhere! Best LEGO set ever for a lifelong Batman fan. Part of me wonders if some of the negative/mediocre reviews are coming from folks who either don't own the set, or wanted a modern Batcave set, and are disappointed Lego went another direction. The highlights here are the Batmobile and the individual figures.
The designers absolutely nailed the feel of the TV show set, and the contrast between the brown color scheme (which looks a lot shinier in person) and the reds/greens/oranges is amazing. I know it could be built quicker but I enjoyed building bits at a time and constructing the cave bit by bit. There are better sets to spend this kind of money on.
